About Dr. Dietrich

Dr. David Dietrich Orthopedic Surgeon Panama City Beach Florida

The profession of orthopedic surgery has been a lifelong interest of Dr. Dietrich, beginning with an injury as a youngster that exposed him to this field of medicine. That experience left him an indelible fascination with orthopedics that has motivated him throughout his career. The ability to help patients regain function and lessen discomfort is a privilege for him that continues to be a source of great professional and personal satisfaction.

Dr. Dietrich has been practicing orthopedic surgery for over 20 years. This has encompassed a broad range of general orthopedic experience including arthroscopic surgery, fracture care, and joint replacement procedures. Over the course of his orthopedic career, which began with active duty service in the U.S Air Force and in private practice for the past 18 years, his primary focus has been hip and knee joint replacement; including extensive experience with direct anterior hip replacement and Mako robotic assisted surgery.

From a personal standpoint, when not working, his interests include: first and foremost - spending time with family out-of-doors, flying ( private pilot with instrument and seaplane ratings) and riding motorcycles. He has a passion for overseas medical missions and a soft spot in his heart for the Karamoja region of Uganda.
